EuroKids celebrates Raksha Bandhan

Kolkata, Aug 23 (IBNS): Toddlers at EuroKids International, a leading pre-school education provider, celebrated Raksha Bandhan a day in advance here on Monday.


Unlike any other day, the students found their classrooms looked brighter with mix of colourful Rangoli designs and flowers that was used for decorating the school corridors.

The toddlers of EuroKids Dumdum Park were in dressed in traditional attire and had a special class by their teachers, who explained them in simpler way the significance of the festival of Raksha Bandhan.

The children learnt to make colourful Rakhis, which were displayed on the display board of the school.

Not only this, the kids also decorated the pooja thalis with fancy diyas, kumkum, rice, mithais (sweetmeats) and the Rakhi crafted by them. They also enjoyed tying Rakhis on each others wrist.

Speaking on the occasion, Ruby Pandey, Principal - EuroKids Kolkata, “This festival has an important social significance, because it underlines the notion that every one in society should live in harmonious coexistence with each other as brothers and sisters in society.”

“We encourage our students to celebrate and cherish all festivals that convey the message of national integration which also helps in revitalizing relationships and strengthening emotional bonds between people,” Pandey added.
